Gorget is a very eccentric female creature of unknown age or disposition.
But we love her! Her following is world-wide. There are more fan pages devoted to her
than any other Furnitures cast member on the Web. Her lovable enigmatic nature
captivates and mystifies people of every age, especially those in their early 40s, and
her spontaneity and total anarchic speech-patterns and actions keep a public, normally mired
in ennui, eternally entertained.
She recently played opposite Hamlet, as the "Anti-Hamlet", in Walter Muffy's Ye Funnye Sandwiche Shoppe.
But Gorget has not been acting long. She has held a large assortment of odd jobs in her lifetime. Very 'odd' ones indeed. She was a scuba equipment tester, a manila envelope cleaner, a professional debutante, a knick-knacker (whatever that is), a scullery cook, an assistant obstetrician, a lemon farmer, a celebrity mesmerist, a non-denominational priest, a test-tube tester, a rocket protector, an igloo salesperson, a piranha wrangler, a sunset painter, a professional soothsayer, and even a brief stint as a flight attendant (very brief).
Her character on Furnitures is the endearing Phyllis.
